Create CAO Account
Visit www.cao.ac.za and click "Apply Now".
Select MUT Programs
Choose MUT and select up to 6 programs in order of preference.
Upload Documents
Certified ID, Grade 11 results, and Grade 12 certificate (if available).
Pay Application Fee
Pay R250 for on-time applications (before 30 Sept 2026) or R470 for late applications.
Submit & Track
Submit and use your CAO number to track your status online.

All undergraduate applications for 2027 go through the CAO at www.cao.ac.za. Postgraduate applications are handled directly by MUT.
Application Fee: R250 on-time (before 30 Sept 2026), R470 late.
Diploma Programs: NSC with Diploma pass, APS 20+, Maths/Physical Science for engineering.
BTech Programs: Relevant National Diploma with 60% average.
Yes: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering (Diploma & BTech). Engineering requires Maths and Physical Science.
