Create CAO Account
Visit www.cao.ac.za and click "Apply Now". You'll need a valid email address and ID number.
Select MUT Programs
Choose MUT as your preferred institution and select up to 6 programs in order of preference.
Upload Documents
Prepare certified copies of your ID, Grade 11 results, and Grade 12 certificate (if available).
Pay Application Fee
Pay R250 for on-time applications (before 30 Sept 2025) or R470 for late applications.
Submit & Track
Submit your application and use your CAO number to track your status online.

All undergraduate applications for 2026 must go through the Central Applications Office (CAO) at www.cao.ac.za. Postgraduate applications are handled directly by MUT.
Application Fee: R250 for on-time applications (before 30 Sept 2025), R470 for late applications.
Diploma Programs: National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Diploma pass, minimum APS score of 20, Mathematics and Physical Science for engineering programs.
BTech Programs: Relevant National Diploma with minimum 60% average.
