📘 Admission Requirements
NC(V) Programmes: Grade 9 certificate or equivalent.
NATED (N4–N6): Matric certificate (Grade 12) OR NCV Level 4.
Report 191 (N1–N3): Grade 10/11 with appropriate subjects (Engineering requires Maths & Science).
Compulsory Pre‑Entry Placement Assessment (online) for all applicants.
💰 NSFAS & Tuition

Admission Criteria & Highlights
NC(V) Entry
Grade 9 or ABET L4. No prior qualification needed for NQF L2. Applicants above 21 may apply with RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning).
NATED (N4–N6) Entry
Matric certificate with at least 40% in home language, 40% in two other subjects, OR NC(V) L4 in related field. Engineering N4 requires Maths & Science at Grade 12 (50% recommended).
PLP (Pre-Vocational Learning)
One-year bridging for students without Grade 9. Offered at Vryheid & Nkandla campuses. Leads to NC(V) Level 2.

NSFAS Important Update
2026 NSFAS applications closed on 31 January 2026. However, mid‑year applicants for Trimester 2 (May) can apply for the DHET TVET College Bursary (NSFAS) second window which typically opens in April/May. Contact the Financial Aid Office at Vryheid campus. For 2027, NSFAS cycle starts September 2026. Prepare your parent/guardian consent forms and income proof.
Always apply online via www.nsfas.org.za (no application fee).
Pro Tips: 2027 & Mid‑Year Strategy
- Mid‑year 2026 seats are extremely limited – early contact with admissions is critical. Walk‑in applications accepted at Vryheid Campus on weekdays.
- Prepare for 2027: Complete the online Pre‑Entry Placement Assessment in August 2026 before the rush.
- Engineering students without Grade 12 Maths/Physics can apply for N1–N3 bridging courses (NATED).
- All documents must be certified within 3 months and uploaded as PDF (max 5MB).
