NSFAS and Bursary Procedure

How to apply for NSFAS: Visit www.nsfas.org.za and complete the online application. For the DHET TVET College Bursary, obtain a form from Student Support Services, attach required documents, and submit before the closing date. NSFAS closing dates are typically 2–3 weeks earlier than the college’s application deadline. Qualifying students will receive a provisional approval letter and must then submit it to the college bursary committee for final approval. Note: Bursaries are limited; provisionally approved students are exempt from the 25% registration deposit.

Pro Tips for 2026 & 2027 Applicants

  • Complete the compulsory Pre‑Entry Placement Assessment BEFORE starting your online application — it’s mandatory.
  • Certified documents must be less than 3 months old. Use PDF format only to avoid rejections.

  • If you missed the main deadline, call the admissions office immediately to check Trimester 2 (May start) or Trimester 3 (September start) availability.
  • For Engineering students lacking Maths/Physics prerequisites, enquire about N1–N3 bridging courses offered at the Skills Centre.
  • Always double‑check dates and requirements on the official Mnambithi TVET College website, as dates may shift.
