SASSETA Bursary 2026

Students in KwaZulu-Natal who are passionate about careers in safety, security and related sectors can benefit from the SASSETA Bursary for the 2026 academic year. The Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) provides financial support to deserving students studying scarce and critical skills needed in South Africa’s safety and security industries.

For learners at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban University of Technology (DUT), Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), the University of Zululand (UNIZULU) and accredited TVET colleges across KZN, this bursary helps reduce the financial burden of higher education. By supporting studies in policing, law, forensics, ICT and business-related fields, SASSETA plays a key role in building a skilled workforce for the 2026 academic year and beyond.

This bursary is suitable for students who want to build careers in safety, security, policing, law enforcement, legal services or supporting sectors such as ICT and business administration. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students who meet the academic and financial requirements may be considered.
